18 months! When he was playing with the possible future mental health of a fellow human, should be sine die. Although saying that if he went down for something like gbh he would only get 6 months, then the labour gov. would let him out .

I would guess Brandon Douglas not unhappy with this - after it was known he was joining us continued to be picked to play evn though injured, which almost certainly contributed to his 1st season with us, and possibly his career being ruined. As many have said could not have happened to anyone better.

Reading the full information the RFL have provided raises many questions.

The player was actually fit to play and wasn’t forced to play. The bans handed out relate to how the protocol wasn’t followed correctly.

The guy investigating Aston doesn’t come out of this with any credibility either. Deleted WhatsApp messages, failure to inform Aston what he was being investigated for.

I’m not a massive fan of Aston but I hope he gets the ban over turned.

It is simple, he knew the rules just like every other coach at all levels of the game. He was told the player had not been cleared to play and although he may disagree with that decision and could try and get it changed, he still chose to ignore that and play the player anyway and "Deal with the consequences later".

The game nearly could not get anyone to insure it with all the goings on around head injuries and Aston chose that direction. He deserves what he got.
