Our last game of the season and thankfully we have already secured our spot in the championship for next year. Hopefully we can finish with a good win to see us into a interesting offseason, 16-22 to Fax. |

I'd expect Fax to win this comfortably, 'haven hardly have a team. Whitehaven 6v 30 Fax. That said I'm glad nowt is riding on this game as it would have been a right nervy job. |

Just been to Grasmere today and stood by Wordsworth's grave and felt inspired to write a couple of verses. I wondered lonely as a cloud and to my woe I stubbed my toe and said out loud into the air who the bleeding hell left that there. |

Story of the season, cruise into an early 16 point lead with Haven struggling to get out of their half then penalty try, penalty try etc with the left edge defence none existent for all 3 of the scores. We had a few good breaks in the second half but only getting over for the 1 try and Haven just ran that bit harder and we gave a number of penalties and set restarts to help them Matty Gee signing off with a red card in the closing minutes. Thank goodness it wasn’t a relegation decider for us. |

It's supposed to be an entertainment but I've only enjoyed watching 2 (Bradford and York) out of the 9 games I've attended this season. Forked out 180 quid which was 80% rubbish. Not just Fax, read the other forums, I've never read such despair. Worst Championship season in its history imo. |

And to think I was going to drive to Whitehaven to show my support and thanks for beating Bradford. Sums Finn's abilities up for me that, totally disinterested and abject the whole season. Get a proper coach in then the quality of the players is somewhat secondary, at least to CARE and compete. |

Story of the season really. Haven had a makeshift team, 3 lads (at least) who were playing U18s rugby last season and a player on debut from Hensingham. At 16-0 up we should have been home and dry. I don't know how many chances we squandered second half, must have made 3 or 4 clean breaks only to get caught just short or knock on. We really should have won. Fair play to Whitehaven though, they wanted it more on the day. Never expected a classis with neither team having anything to play for. Just hope the fractured vertebrae suffered by the Haven player isn't too serious. |

Yes i hope the Whitehaven player who has suffered a serious neck injury is ok. With the way we started i thought we would rack up a big score then a combination of poor discipline and very poor defence from our left edge lead to a very disappointing defeat. There number 1 who played right wing Gebbie i think his name is had a stormer plus there number 19 O'brien a throwback old school middle with long black hair really caused us problems. I suppose we just after wait and see what unfolds with the club now the last statement said they was talking to a number of potential investors a update on how those talks have gone would be interesting. |

Gebbie is a PNG player and came over on a 1 year deal at Haven for 2024 and looked a real handful in broken play with power, pace and a step, the lad with the black flowing locks I was told at the game was Jack Kellett who plays for Hensingham ARL and was just brought in to fill out the depleted squad which makes his contribution even more commendable. Goes to show what desire, commitment and just running hard can do. The off season now as we wait to see how the rumours turn out will be interesting and hopefully more positive. |
