Just read that after the transfer deadline if a player as not played at least 4 games on dr he can not feature again this season on dr. So unless i am wrong that would just leave us with Corey Johnston available on dr and once O'brien is fit we won't need him either. Loans are still a option but this should please the haters of dr and mean at least 2 changes for sunday. Game wise i am still not very confident in the way we are playing and York seem to have picked up in form since their change in coach. They did give us a good hiding at their place in one of the worst Fax performances i have seen for some time. Score wise i can see a narrow York win.

Had the same conversation last night concerning the DR rule and came to the same conclusion with the loan option but that leaves it out of our control and very risky.
There’s no room for manoeuvre now on the playing front and any more injuries or suspensions and we’re screwed with who we have left.
Watch some highlights of York in recent games and they really put themselves about with a good dangerous mixture of speed and skill to back up the physicality.
Tough game but on the other hand the lads will know it so all leads up to a cracker.

A wonderful DR arrangement is out of our control and very risky. DR and short term loans, there's not a lot of difference between them.

Not interested in the politics of it all Hudds at this point in time.

I’m more interested and focussed on our current predicament, our threadbare squad and what the rules will allow to increase the numbers and trying to survive by any legal means.

I hope the club are focussing in on that as well, that’s far more important than the rights and wrongs of the old argument surrounding DR / loans and the rest of the rugby league BS that’s in today’s game.

Fair do's. I think that we will just about scrape out of the mire and survive. There's at least three clubs worse than us thankfully, and two points on Sunday would be a massive boost although i doubt we'll get them. Having said that i didn't think that we would beat Batley so ..Up The Fax!

i thought the 4 games DR rule only applied to the play offs?

Looking forward to Sunday's game. Younger more energetic pack and AOB back I'm going for a 2 score win.

A bit on them here from 2023 and can’t find any updates for 2024 and I for one don’t understand as long as the club does I’ll leave it to them and the best bit of advice is just to go and support. :thumb:

There is a article on the love rugby league page. And it clearly says that if a player as not played on dr 4 times before today's deadline then they can not feature on dr for the rest of this season. Maybe they do not know the rules i am just quoting the article .
