Not sure on the result , if it’s the same team as Sunday then we will lose I’m afraid. A big believer that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it , but it is broken so I would be tempted to either play widdop at fb and move woody to centre or alternatively play salty at centre and move tibbs to the wing , hopefully Eden is fit our backline could look more threatening and stable like this

Tibbs woody smith Eden

Tibbs salty smith Eden

Tibbs salty woody eden

Salty isn’t quick enough to be a winger and as been exposed for pace a few times but he still carries well and has a good offload under pressure.

The pack

Fairbank and larroyer as starting props isn’t good enough

Fairbank will play loose with Conner suspended

If Douglas is fit I would play him and Hudson and tangata and lannon off the bench if Douglas isn’t fit I would play Hudson and tangata and use either gee or davies and lannon as rotating props with hursey filling in at second row .

Same team and we lose. How we change it with the squad we have, i don't know. Sheffield by 14.

Can’t understand why anyone would want Woody at centre his defence there wouldn’t improve anything...said it before get Kav there with Smith and that’s it sorted.Watch Kav’s try last week and tell me he’d be out of place in three-quarters...Fax 22 Sheffield 14.

Moving JWH to centre allows us to bring Keyes back - something I think we must do, but we then also lose our most potential attacking threat, as I don't think Woody would be anything like as effective at centre.Don't think for a second that this would happen but I'd have Keyes and Jouffret in the halves, JWH at fullback and Widdop at loose forward. He's big enough, and just doesn't seem to have pace for the backs. As has been said above I'm praying for some coming back from injury - Crooks would make a massive difference in both attack and defence, especially if he can be paired with Eden.

My thought process is based on desperation , is woody better at centre than tibbs or McComb?

Yes. But still wouldn't play him there - desperate times but if we don't get some players back I regret that I've little confidence in us getting a result.ñ

He's got to be, surely. I wouldn’t put him there though.

By a mile. We were always going to have this problem with 4 not going in to 3 in our key positions. For the moment Keyes looks like he is the fall guy but playing Jouffret or Widdop at FB and bringing Keyes back in and moving Woody to centre over either of the players mentioned quite clearly improves our team.

Sheffield along with Bradford will be fighting it out for the 2 or 3 places behind Wakefield so in that sense its going to be a tough game and Sheffield look far stronger than us. The reality is where we are at the moment, this should be a comfortable win for Sheffield and I really don't know if we have it in us to provide a shock result. Last weeks second half suggests what we already suspected, that our team has a very soft underbelly and don't have the stomach for a battle.
