Well after the 1895 cup and early challenge cup rounds we get our league campaign under way at the rams stadium on sunday. Dewsbury haven't had a game for a number of weeks so they should be chomping at the bit and should also be rusty. It will be heavy going for both sides but as long as we do the hard stuff up the middle first before trying to shift the ball i think we will win. Team wise will Brandon douglas be fit to play if so who should Finn leave out and will Jack smith get the nod over Tibbs or MCcomb. Personally i am happy to see some regular week in week out rugby back. |

Couldn't go today as away on holiday so would be interested to hear people's thoughts - following on twitter sounded a lot closer than perhaps some expected. |

It was an extremely heavy pitch and one to put behind us really, hard to get any pace going forwards for our usual gang in JWH or the wingers but I thought we ran it in pretty well and Widdop make a difference when he came on as his class showed IMO. Inman looked out of sorts and was throwing some very sloppy passes, he looked very annoyed at the end and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go tbh. |

It was a tough game and one i thought Dewsbury shaded in the first half. There left side centre and winger had some size about them and they had some joy against MCcomb and salty with high kicks near the line leading to their first try and them making a rare clean break down that side in the second half. From our starting pack i would say Tangata was the best and when Olly davis came on both him and Lannon made a difference. Overall not the best game or performance but a hard earned 2 points all the same. And can the players learn to get square at marker because both sides conceded a number of penalties for that. |

Not sure why MCcomb was picked over the dual reg who was 18th man. We needed to see what he can do if he will be here more we have no centres at the moment which re the required standard |
