Interested to note that the two companies that own Halifax failed to get the paperwork done on time to submit their Confirmation Statements to Companies House. One now done. Perhaps shows the slipshod way in which the non-communicative BoD regard as normal? Or are rumours of a lack of clear financial management true? |

I am genuinley interested when I say this, do you think your group would have done much better and if so why? I mean one of you took your bat and ball home sacking off their sponsorship when the takeover didn't go through. Would someone who loved the club so much do something like that which could put the club in jeopardy? Just reeks of throwing the teddies out of the cot and do us fans really want people like that in charge of the club? |

I regularly check Companies House for various things, a lot of companies often show things overdue, in particular the confirmation statements. I'm more alarmed if its the accounts. Most seem to get it sorted within a short time frame, is it something to worry about? What's the penalty for not doing so? Ultimately, as far as I am aware all of the Directors have other businesses and commitments. And that is the same at most RL clubs, no one is running it full time |

Confirmation statements are exactly that, an online submission which costs £13 and takes 5 minutes just to confirm there have been no changes for the past year and that the company haven't forgotten to submit appointments or resignations of directors, etc. You get a 2 week window from a reminder to filing, so if you're on your jollies you might not see the reminder until you return after the deadline! Companies House don't seem to care unless it's VERY overdue. In relation to Fax, the trading company appeared to file more or less on time in April (as I say, there's a 2 week window re the statement date) and the other company is dormant (so easily forgotten!) and it appears to be only a few weeks late, filed last month. So to bring this up is a tad petty and no big deal. |
