So who is going up the toon this sunday. I do enjoy the trip up there and i have to say the people i have come across there are some of the most friendly people you could meet. As for the game will there be some changes from the Bradford game. Salty as been carry a groin injury for some time and had to come off in our last game and kavanagh as been troubled by a knee problem for some time and finally should we give Louis a rest after his involvement with France at the weekend. Score wise i will go for a big Panthers win 10-40.

Saltonstall out, presumably injured, and Maher, presumably just dropped. While Grix won't want to risk defeat by making too many changes, wouldn't be surprised to see Doro and Cole come in, and possibly Pickersgill given another run at fullback and Mcomb in for Salty. In view of plastic pitch surprised if he risks Larroyer although good to see him back in the squad. Fleming not in squad, possibly not deemed fit enough having hardly played this year.

Not a bad win. We let in two soft trys right on the line (again) but over all Newcastle didn’t seem to bother us that much it was very hot and at then end of the first half we really started to break those line then it was half time! Maizen came off at the end with an ankle leg injury. All in all a great peasant trip to Newcastle….. and to top it off Bradford were stuffed by Barrow!

For me we never got out of second gear. The first half overall was poor it was more like a training run Newcastle tried there best there left side second row looked lively but by and large they offered little threat. The start of the second half was better we got to 30-0 up pretty quickly and i hoped we would kick on and score even more points but we took our foot off the gas again and conceded 3 sloppy tries in the last 20 minutes. 2 points is 2 points but barring a few players we looked to be just going through the motions at times and i would like us to show a more ruthless side to our game. All in all a good day out and the bloke on the speaker for Newcastle did is best to lift there fans not that there was that many but he tried his best.
