Can’t ask for more than the potential for two home games. |

The incentive of hopefully knocking the bullies out again should be an added motivation against Barrow. Also a boost to funds for hopefully strengthening the squad. The loan of Gannon is a good sign that maybe we've finally seen the light over the futility of the DR system too. We can only hope. Up The Fax! :thumb: |

Not a bad draw really , two home games and a potential game against Bradford should bring a bumper crowd and a boost to our finances . |

Then we lose at Midlands and you get done by Barrow, and our best laid plans are ruined.... |

I hope they won’t even be thinking about Bradford or the possibility of the 5th round as an incentive or anything else until when and if they get past Barrow in the 4th round. I also hope they aren’t thinking about anything Cup related until they get the 2 vital league points against Keighley and Barrow away the week before. Since as predicated you have mentioned DR again, even in a cup thread where it will barely if ever apply because of being cup tied it’s clear you are completely missing the point of what Fax are doing, which is this. With a small squad the club is looking to add some numbers who hopefully will do a job and are using every option available regardless of what that may be. It’s not about supporting, the rights and wrongs, agreeing or disagreeing with, seeing anything, voting for or even expressing an opinion on something such as DR as a concept. What the club and Grix is concerned about is the team, it’s all about numbers in an attempt to keep at least as good a quality as possible fit and healthy 17 available on match days. This is the context of what Fax are doing, and in this setting to them the loan of Gannon, or anyone else is no different to Gannon, or anyone else coming in on DR it’s simply just adding somebody to the squad without it just being anybody. Apart from variables based on the time frame where loans tend to be slightly longer but even then loan players can be recalled often at a short notice and loan players do not normally feature in Cup games because of being cup tied. Likewise a DR player gettIng picked before an existing club player if he’s going be upset won’t be any less so if it’s a loan player being selected before him will he? Do you now understand what is going on and why? We can only hope. Up the Fax Panthers |
