Well thank you IMG. Back to the old ways of the RFL choosing who the let in to the top league. It was a farce last time and will be again. Cas and Wakefield still in their 100year old crap grounds given top billing no doubt. Bulls going bust but hay give them a licence. There may be promotion between the second and third leagues. So we go back 8 years. How this helps with rugby league in the country I have no idea. Backwards steps and protecting the clubs at the top of the food chain. The sport is ficked! |

I agree with faxlore. What a farce, an utter waste of time to and money. |

I wonder if not having an academy team will be a mark against you? Probably because the RFL told us (and other clubs) we couldn’t run an academy side. I keep going on but this announcement has really vexed me off. It shows complete and utter disregard for clubs outside SL. Complete self serving RFL yet, like last time, they will say it’s an independent report and recommendation. That doesn’t make it right or mean you have to implement it. |

I think you can safely scrap the idea of the likes of batley or fax or fev ever getting into super league . It's just never going to happen . They want big cities we are back to that . |

Some clubs in SL will be guaranteed to not be relegated. Others in the same division can be relegated. That is beyond belief and if clubs vote for that, if indeed they have a vote, well good luck to 'em. |

No doubt that once again certain people have had an influence with these ‘new proposals’ and each S/L club will get one vote whilst the Championships get a derisory handful that cannot overturn anything S/L wants. Will be interesting on hearing Mr.Turners views on this farce. Also what happened to the proposed 2 tier S/L of 10 teams, that was banded about ? |

I don’t really have an opinion on the proposed format yet as it’s a vague outline until we know what warrants cat a , b , c etc and what needs to be done to achieve these it’s open to interpretation. One thing I will ask is ( as someone who has only sporadically followed rugby league) what was the original reason for the inception of super league? As it being achieved? Is the competition as a whole better that the original concept of rugby league? Will the new format make the game as a whole for everyone? My gut feeling with limited information/education is no , but happy to be corrected . I very rarely watch super league anyway as it’s boring not too dissimilar to the Scottish premier league in terms of the same teams winning year after year . If the grade A/B is out of faxs’ reach or any clubs reach it really makes you question why you would spend x amount of money on a sport where dreams are nigh on impossible, surely the essence of sport is hope and jeopardy running in tandem . Might as well go follow a local amateur team or choose a sport that has these ingredients. Anyway it’s all speculation at the moment but I won’t be holding my breath. |

I would be interested to hear the clubs thoughts on this and will they vote for these changes or not. |

The Keighley chairman made a great statement, and at the end of it recommended 2 up , 2 down each year, irrespective of which league your in. That is what sport is all about, imagine putting in categories in the football championship. There would be riots. I for one, as a life long fax fan, will not keep going if we have no chance of the top league, very sad. |
