This hasn't been the best ground for Fax results wise over the years. How we go on will mostly depend on Simon Grix's team line up and attitude towards the game. With 3rd place more or less confirmed what do we do? Rest players with the play offs in mind or play our best thirteen and build momentum going forward? Whatever, it has got to be an improvement on our fixture against them at The Shay. That was dire, our worst performance of the season on the worst pitch of the season. No mistakes and good discipline should be enough to take the two points but and I would go down the route of playing our best team as we go into the business part of the season. Up The Fax! Lindley Liberal Club, Taylor Landlord 4.3% Mmm! :DRUNK:

Like you say interesting to see who Grix selects for this one , gwaze ll be available, Knowles might get a run out , I felt in Knowles last interview he seemed a bit miffed , such a frustrating season for him personally, infact all the forwards we signed gee, Knowles, gwaze it’s been stop and start , thankfully calcott and Murray have stepped up . Anyway we won’t need to worry about team selection with our resident oracle Craig David in the house , we ll get it early.

I would imagine it would be full team against Widnes but then a big rotation against Fev to avoid going in to the playoff game the week after a bit tired. Its often a factor when having to back up the week after playing one of the big 2. Its looking likely that it is going to be York at home as long as Batley can beat Bradford this week which they should do. I think either York or Barrow would be a really good match up for us as they both play similar styles to us and because of the style clash we have been able to dispose of each quite easily. Batley on the other hand I really don't want to play them in a big one off game.

I would be confident in playing any of the three contenders but would prefer it to be York for no other reason than to upset Mr Ford again. For it to be York, Barrow would probably have to win in London which is no certainty.

It as been a long time since we won at widnes but this is as good a time as any. Team wise i would go for full strength for this game to give us the best chance of winning and keep the momentum up for what's to come the following week and the playoffs and for 5 pound a ticket you can not go wrong.

No Joe Keyes for this one and JWH still out makes it more difficult to see a Fax win tonight. It's more important to get through this one with no injuries or suspensions. Hopefully two points as well but i'm not that confident. Up The Fax!

Not sure what the possession/ territory stats were and completion rate etc and we will be punished by featherstone and l Leigh if we replicate that if we get to the latter stages of the playoffs. On the flip side tremendous defensive effort and some sensational tries when we had the ball . The players who came in played really well and the 17 that are selected for the playoffs is going to be interesting.

Easy win, rested players, job done. In fairness Widnes looked like they could play all night without scoring a try from open play and it was probably 50/50 our defense and their bad attack. I hardly remember us having much decent ball and still managed to score over 30 points which is some going. On to the dead rubber Fev game next week now and team selection has to be about the game the following week so theres going to be some interesting choices.
