Having watched there game yesterday they do look handy with the ball and could cause our defense some problems if we don't improve that area of our game. Having said that they did put a big effort in and that could take something out of them for sunday we just need to play like we did in the first half at newcastle nice and direct and earn the right to go wide and make sure we do it it for 80 minutes and we should be fine. I will go for a fax win 36-10. I don't know if anybody else is sick of these free weekends by the time we have our last one when England play in june we would of had six of them since we was knocked out of the cup by fev hopefully this will not happen again next season. |

Aye, agree regarding weekends off. We should keep our momentum going against the eagles but they do look to be in pretty good form. I'll go for a Fax win 28 v 14 and hopefully set us up for a big game at York. Lindley Liberal Club, Guinness Mmm! |

I expect a competitive game overall and my focus would be to execute an attempt at a full 80 minute performance, something we haven’t been able to do up to now , Sheffield have been playing well and have some good players, I can see Brandon Douglas having a dig at some of our pack and Thackeray as been going well , they have some quality threat with Ben j bishop and Welham , certainly can’t afford a Whitehaven 1st half or a Newcastle 2nd half . Just listened to the joe Keyes interview and hopefully his kicking can get back on point after a combination of new footwear and a toe injury , a total of 18 points missed across the barrow and Newcastle game . We may be fortunate that we have managed to shake off a few niggles in the week off whilst Sheffield have conceded a few injuries in their battles with Leigh , I hope for a win but there is no room for complacency, I expect it to be closer than the last two games . |

Having watched the Sheffield-Leigh semi, Sheffield did look a more than useful side. However, Leigh were absolutely dire! Their completion rate was appalling and they only started to come good in the last 20 minutes. With the money spent on that team, if I was a Leigh supporter I would have been pretty disgusted. |

Who's the ref for your game? If they can't find one, don't worry Sheffield have plenty! Dire Leigh only won a relatively unimportant game (which btw is played over 80 mins) by 18 points. Yup, disgusted of Atherton burnt his shirt & scarf in protest. Just saying, Lean, Mean, very GREEN Machine. |

Sheffield looked useful for a couple of short spells, otherwise a very good attacking performance against a team that had been going ok this season. Several players had excellent games - thought Jouffret looked really dangerous every time he touched the ball, Tibbs was a revelation- did ok defensively, ran the ball in strongly but most pleasingly ran onto the ball with real pace, final try was a beauty. All the forwards played well and got quick play the balls which helped Brandon play more like his old self. JWH again looks absolute class both in attack and defence- my only quibble with him have the club and him wasted 3 or 4 years of top class rugby by maybe not showing the sort of faith Simon is now. Final word on the pantomime villains the Farrells - not seen a player lose it with the crowd like Joel Farrell did since a bloke I think from Salford climbed into the crowd at Thrum Hall to take issue with a spectator who'd been giving him grief. |

Spot on summary , woodburn hall is great only thing is he spends half his time limping around after a collision , you can never tell how injured he is. I remember my dad getting Bobby Goulding trying to climb the hoardings to get to him at thrum hall after we spanked Leeds when they’d blown loads of dosh on Hanley and co , the chant was ‘ what a waste of money ‘ and my dad piped up ‘ especially Bobby Goulding ‘ and his head nearly popped . |
