Unfortunately can't make this one but a repeat of last year's meeting would be very nice. I don't think it will be as easy this time but we should be full of confidence after recent results/performances and I see a score along the lines of Newcastle 10 v 18 Fax. Everyone going up enjoy, a trip to the toon is always a good do. Up The Fax! :thumb:

Should be an easy win for us. Perfect pitch for us and Newcastle have a lot of players missing and a thin squad. Beat them and Sheffield next and we won't drop out of the top 5 the rest of the season.

Let’s not do what we did against Whitehaven in the 1st half , we need to be switched on from minute 1 and take nothing for granted. Expansive rugby is fine in a controlled way , no need for hot potato rugby till the game is at least won.

I see Newcastle have brought in a few players on loan one from fev and 2 from wakey. Jack croft played against us last week for barrow and the other 2 to bolster there pack. We could have to make a couple of changes ourselves with jacob banned and woody going off injured last week i still think we will have enough to win this one 14-30 to fax.

Woody just coming into some form would be a frustrating loss if he doesn’t make it with LJ likely going to 1 and Aston coming into the halves and if we are replacing Bob from within a choice between Tangata or Laroyer to 13 and Calcott or Morris completing the pack.
We need to sort out the left hand side edge defense then the biggest threat will be how many of the 80 minutes we play with our heads on, anything close to our best and we should rack up some points and have enough to take it.

We shouldn't be changing the half backs. There's plenty of other options at fb if JWH isn't fit.

Just going on what SG has gone with in the past when JWH was injured and that has been either LJ or Joe Martin at 1.
Hopefully Woody will be fit enough.

Well Cory aston is in the Huddersfield reserves so he won’t feature, that lends itself to if woodys fit he’ll play if not it’ll be Martin at fb. As mentioned before either calcott or Morris will step in with either tangata or larroyer moving to 13.
