The game on Sunday certainly gave us some food for thought , there was certainly signs of our attacking prowess but obviously we need to be focusing on our defence. I’m led to believe young whitton will be given some minutes on Friday and Murray will have a game , I’d like to see jouffret given some more game time in the halves with either Aston or Keyes , hope the lads put up a fight and the score line is closer than Sunday and we come away injury free so we can put out a good team out against Batley .

They should have benefitted from Sunday and if young Whitton turns out to be the next Billy Slater then maybe we could get Brad Knowles to break Woody’s other thumb.

Someone mentioned Brandon Moore picking up a niggle with his arm , seen has he played with a ruptured bicep for half the season he’s certainly not worth risking and hopefully it s a precautionary measure .

So the squads out no moore or larroyer from sunday but murray and whitton get a run. I hope liam gets some minutes under his belt at fullback so we can see if he could be the answer while woodburn-hall is out. And hopefully brandons not injured is bicep again. Simon was asked about signing alex walker to cover woodys time out and even though he was full of praise for walkers attitude during is time at the club he said no and gave is reasons why. He did mention that in is words we could have something up our sleeve for later in the week maybe a player from huddersfield who knows.

Impressed with the way Simon comes across - still a relatively inexperienced coach but obviously has the backing of the board who've supported him in a assembling a quality squad which looks really well balanced this year. Great to hear his support for JWH - just bad luck when for the first time in his career at Fax he's got a coach that trusts him he gets injured.

Yes I picked up on that up there sleeve comment , like you say could be the Huddersfield connection and with covid restrictions being relaxed the loan / duel reg relationship might be a bit easier to manage this season.

It would be a whole lot easier to manage if we don't bother with it at all.
