Live Rugby Start Dates

The start of the domestic Rugby league season is a moving feast due to the continued uncertainty over coronavirus. Despite announcing start dates for the National Leagues at the end of February and Super League in early March, both have now been put back in the hopes of a start in front of live, ticket buying, members of the public, even of that is with limited numbers.

In these strange times, where the only certain thing is continued uncertainly, the clubs, players and ourselves as supporters, have to accept and be ready for change to ensure that when we do restart playing we do so in a safe way.

Pointless guessing at this stage . It will happen when it happens is about all you can say . At least new case numbers are slowing which is the crumb of hope .

Govt make it up as they go along. Championship will survive just as a no fan digital league. L1 will be gone.

Dont quite get your logic on how the championship will survive on a no fan basis .. cant see how on earth fax could put on a match if no fans to cover all sundry costs of paying rent again . Doctors fees etc even daft costs like all the strapping that is used at any rugby club who pays for it ? They only just managed to survive on the ' crowd " numbers they were getting . Furlough and no rent has enabled survival simple as that .

Clubs have already agreed that games played behind closed doors will be streamed live on the RFL’s Our League platforms (app & website) on a pay per view basis.

Not sure that this will create the required revenue to keep clubs afloat though?
