All the best Steve, yes there will be a few regrets such as not having the chance to set a new club record points scored but I’m sure the good memories out way that.

Thanks for your efforts in the Fax colours and all the best for the future.

A fantastic servant of Halifax - people sometimes forget the successes that a relatively modestly supported Fax have achieved over the last 10 years - in my opinion these would not have been possible without the contributions of Tyrer and Murrell who will both be greatly missed. While both have had their critics in my view over this period these two have combined a commitment to the cause and consistency of performance that is unmatched. While excited by the potential of new players coming in - if their replacements contribute as much over the next decade then they will have done very well. I hope they both get the reception they deserve if they return to the Shay

Excellent final interview which enables both parties to move on in the correct manner . I wish him well in his twilight rugby years. All the best Steve you had become part of the cement to the team showing a great deal of maturity on and off the field .

There's no official announcement from either fax, widnes or steve himself about him going to widnes, unless I have missed something.

I notice the chapelhows are leaving widnes but it doesn't say where they are going. Wouldn't mind signing either or both of them.

You do not want the Chapelhoe twins. Good people, hard working but won’t get you anywhere in this league. Found their level in championship 1

Happy with the Tyrer signing as well as Lee Jewitt and Matt Cook

Yes ST won't let anyone down and some other good lads in there and along with Smithy the sort of experience to go with some of your younger signings should give plenty of optimism. :thumb:

I see the chat is all about tyrer, but the thread refers to someone called Tyler, whoever he is.

Everyone knows he’s the guy that’s gone to Wilnes.
