Post subject:  Easter double headers??

It's just crossed my mind that the Championship and Championship1 are not having fixtures on Easter Monday.
I knew we didn't have a fixture but had initially put that down to us being the team that had the "free weekend". Then I remembered that doesn't happen anymore as there are now 10 teams.

SL coaches are complaining about the short turn around for Friday/Monday games and the answer is always "it's always been like that and the fans love it".

How come we are not having a traditional Easter weekend of rugby???

or is it to wear out SL teams with two fixtures before next weeks CCup games.

not enough teams in the league to really make it work...


I also feel it is not fair on the players either playing 2 games in 72 hours

After watching tonights SL offering, i'd rather do the gardening or watch Littleborough ladies on Sunday.
