What do we make of that.

A big win for Keighley, who we play this Friday, Swinton's first win of the season, so what's happened to Batley, and a good tight game at Dewsbury.

So on those results how do you see the season panning out?

Keighley look to have a really good pack this season. Think Friday will be a very close call, couple of points in it. Us, fev, Keighley all look like potential finalists so far. Aplenty of time left for other clubs to kick on and prove me wrong though

Some really interesting results and it just proves how competitive this division is, bring on Friday!

Ex Keighley coach Barry Eaton was very complimentry today of Keighley beating his Hunslet team on radio Rovers. On the the other hand, Jason Demetriou, current Keighley coach reckons if his side complete at 50% rate as they did today, against Fax on friday "we'll get murdered"
Personally, as with Swinny Lions's win over the Doggies today, it proves that nobody will be an easy 3 points win this season.
Fax V Cougars on friday is definately game on, let's have it.

Radio Rovers?? Like the sound o' that!!
Dews were in good nick to be honest. Nowt flash... they haven't got the personel for 'flash'. They played to their strengths and I can't deny they were worth their bonus point. (and there is the argument about the BP. 2 mins left, trailing by 14, awarded a penalty = kick for goal. Secure the bonus)! If the BP system is any good, why don't they do it in SL??
Dews were/are significantly improved from their game v fax and appear to be working more as a unit now.

I think this is something we will see all season with some topsy turvey results. If any team dosnt hit the ground running then teams are capable of handing out big beatings like we did on Thursday. Where as all teams are capable on their day of been able to match the top teams which makes it such a good league.

The team struggling the most at the moment is Batley but to be honest i think it was expected, for me KH got the best out of what he had to work with where as JK lost a few important names to us and struggled to replace them. I do think they will get better as the season goes on but i doubt they will trouble the top 4 teams apart from the occasional one off.

I don't want to upset anyone, that's not my style?
BUT? The only team that will trouble us this year is Fev. Got a feeling that we will win there and they will win at the Shay, either way them and us will share the spoils.
Might be wrong, often am.

Long way to go yet John. Sheff got well turned over by you lot last week. Sheffield, being Sheffield are likely to return the favour just as easily.
Batley aren't a bad team, but have had two unfathomable results - or is that being disrespectful to Swinton & Keighley??

Guess I'm saying is, I reckon Fev n Fax ought to be favs, but neither team will have it all their own way, as Leigh found out in the play off last year. In the meantime, something has to give in May!! I'm looking forrad to that as much as the cas game (if not more tbh).
