Post subject:  Sponsored Walk - Royal Marines

(I make no apologies for posting this in a rugby forum ;) )

I know most people on here think I am a plank (with some justification at times  ) but its worth posting here even if it gets just an additional £5 donation...anyway...some of you may have read in today's national press about my cousin, killed whilst serving in the Royal Marines last July. In just over two weeks I, and seven of my friends, are walking from Greetland (where we live) to York (where Dave was born, brought up and lived). Its only 42 miles

Half of the funds are going to the Royal Marine Charitable Trust Fund whilst the other half will go to an appeal the local newspaper in York have launched.

The Sun article below shows what a selfless and thoughtful lad he was and all I ask is that, if you can, you make a donation - whether its for £1 or more, all donations will be gratefully received by my fellow walkers and I, and of course the organisations which will receive the end donations.

Thank you.
