Right, first of all sorry to Matt and the lads for accusing them of being out on the 'lash' the night before the game on Saturday, although sadly they did play like they had been out on the booze, Matt came to me after the game and told me in person with witnesses that they had not been out boozing. Fair enough and thanks for that Matt it was big of you, honest. We heard this from the Toulouse players and sadly with our clubs reputation you could not blame us for believing it, can you? Neil Cherryholme also denied it to my mate after the game too. Just to put the record straight, although I personally believed Matt and Neil anyway, we met an English couple who live in Toulouse in the Melting Pot on Sunday before we flew home who asked us if we had been to the match and what was the score? They told us they had met some of our players out on Friday night watching the SL game, as they live near the Hotel that Fax had stayed in (which is out of town by the way) and they were a good set of lads who were drinking Coke, they told us this by the way we did not ask them it has to be noted! So categoric proof that the lads did not go out drinking (alchohol anyway), two of us were witness to this. |

In Spain they ordered the hotel to fill the pool with San Miguel and to furnish their rooms with scantily clad virginal whores of the night. They drank the miguel and then feasted on the blood of the said virgins. Then they came back and lost to Batley. |

I'm nor really suprised we lost over there saturday i have passed through there on holiday and stayed in a hotel there over night, the hotel was a dive, the air con didnt work so it was boiling in the room, it was tiny, i had to sleep on the floor cause the bed was broken, the tv didnt work, its the worse place i've ever spent the night and couldnt help but think all the hotels were like that, and if so it could have been a bad nights sleep ahead of the game if they had to sleep in the same conditions i did |

Guys threads like this based on heresay dont actually help the Club. there are two Coop representatives who go to Toulouse with each team. This was received from them today; "I would just like make you aware that this weekend’s trip was thoroughly enjoyable trip to be on. The team were a pleasure to be with and I must comment on how well behaved they all were. I thought it would be nice to make you aware, I will also feedback to the RFL" |

It really does p**s me off to here stories of the players drinking before matches, behaving badly etc. This year and last year we were fortunate enough to be on the same plane as the players and coaching staff going out. Their behaviour was impeccable, they were friendly towards their supporters and well behaved on the plane. No drinking in the bar or on the flight. Last year they spent most of the Sunday afternoon in the "Melting Pot" withn us, "horror! they were drinking alcohol. I mean young men with no game for a week enjoying the day after a game! what is the world coming to? Again well behaved mixed with us fans and got home safely. This year someone asked Josh Barlow at half time if the players were coming into Toulouse after the game and he said no, straight back to the hotel as in his words "a very important game on Wednesday" o.k we lost, we played poor, but there was no drinking or bad behaviour. Well done HRLFC |
