After a long hard Year of trying to arrange venue, kits, health and saftey, players and games for Andrea's Gift Charity RL we are happy to announce that everything is running smoothly with many thanks going to Halifax Fan, Pete McNamara of the Ivy house for his support.
In recent months The team had been playing games in Leighweight Cotton T-shirts which are easily ripped and torn and are not protective enough for the players.
After problems occured when Andrea's Gift was handed a Dodgy so called "Grand Final" ball Mr McNamara still helped us to the best of his abilities by providing the Charity with Funding, which has enabled us to get a new kit.
please see mock ups below.Today we recieved the Shorts and socks to the kit and we are awaiting the delivery of the shirts as they were sent to be embroided late.
We are Currently arranging a game against Eccleston Lions for this summer and we hope we can raise as much money as possible to be split between the 2 teams and Ecclestone are to buy a new Kit at the end of this season to help support The Lilac Centre at St.Helens Hospital who do excellent work for patients with Cancer.
Players are, as always, Welcome along to this fixture to play and any volunteers would be greatly appreciated as we are hoping to get a Bouncy Castle for the kids, a food bar and an Alcohol Bar (all profits made to be added to the pot).
There will Also be Raffles, some of the prizes include; match ball, Halifax RLFC Shirt, 5 bottles of beer (winners choice) and a Signed St Helens 2007 Grand final shirt.
