Quite a bit in the news relating to Fax this week.

Jon Goddard hoping to make comeback vs Gateshead (League Express) howwever League Week reports he "could be back in the reckoning in the next couple of weeks, A Quote from Martin Hall

General Manager of Doncaster describing Halifax as "Streets ahead of the rest" in the chase for championship honours (good comment after they'd played us and Widnes inside a week) (League Express)

Small mention to the Cheerleading Team in the League Talk section of the LE

Hall remains tight lipped over Briers, however states "The Club is always interested in quality players" and goes on to mention the size of the squad may lead to recruitment (League Weekly)

Mark Flanagan interesting Hull FC & Wakefield (League Weekly)

2 Brighouse Under 17 players interesting Wakefield following their Yorkshire Cup final match against Stanningly @ Fev a few weeks ago.

Couple of bits i'll comment on now...

Looks like we won't be getting flanagan on loan again (do we really need him) no mention in the article whether it'd be a loan or pernament move, but he'll probably jump at the chance of some first team rugby.

And the 2 youngsters at Brighouse, Whats the age of the scholarship programme? are they too old for this now?

The whole Briers thing could be dead in the water, but there's probably some behind the scenes work been done looking at potential additions to the squad.

And finally, good news about Goddard, will be good to have him availible again and add some competion for the centre spots.

in my opinion there is no competition if goddard is fit then he should always start in one of the centre spots 100% of the time.

Not often I buy both publications, The missus brought a League Express this morning, and I got a League Weekly whilst I was out to read whilst waiting for a doctors appointment.

Don't mind doing it though when I get the paper.
