The Halifax Courier will be announcing the winning nominations for their Sporting Awards in next Wednesday's paper. We are hoping that a number of Fax players will be nominated for the Professional Sports Player Award.

Please check it out on Wednesday and if we have nominated players, please vote for one or more of those nominated to ensure that our winning run on the field is continued off the field.

Halifax Town and Halifax Rugby Union players are also eligible.

Nominations were made by the public (deadline was Easter Monday) and then a panel of judges have reduced the nominations down to to 3/4 individuals for the public to vote on.

   Halifax Rugby Union have lost about every game in the past 2 years and Halifax Town despite being one of the biggest if not the biggest club in there League will struggle to make even the top 5.

I've also nominated Harry Brown who is a Wheelchair RL and Basketball Player. He's only 14 and was in the team that won the World Cup in Australia.

Please vote for him when the nominations come out. He's a great kid and hes just won another award just this week.

We have been informed by The Courier that there is only public voting for two categories of which one of them is the Professional Sports Player. Presume the winners of all the other categories will be chosen by the Courier Judges.

Yea, but there'll surely be no nominations from ACFC Halifax City United Argyle Wanderers Town.
