Well that was a knife edge of a game. I felt Silverwood didnt have a bad game today either.

Greenwood and Royston ran very well. Cherryholme, Wrench and Wilson did some really good runs and tackles. Worrency looked a sleep some times but seemed to be there at the right time!

I didnt go but sounded a good game on the radio, Wildbore's try that wasnt given sounded a little harsh but hey ho we are progressing under Cullen and we will do you down at the Stobarts.

What was the Widnes following like?

Filled mostly the middle two sections of the north stand with others spread out. At a guess 500 or so.

I reckon between 700 - 800, well done.

For the record, I thought Silverwood was inconsistent with his 25 mts re-starts, but looked a class above the normal rubbish we have to suffer.

Nah, 500 tops! I was down that end first half and had a good look myself. They were spread out so it looked bigger from the South Stand End. Good turnout though!

They said on the radio that he wasnt back in position so wouldnt allow Halifax to start the taps quickly. Wildbores try sounded as if it should have stood and one unlucky bounce of the ball over Gavin Dodds head i think and we could have won it.

Silverwood wasn't too bad, but should have put those Spear Tackles on report.

As for the game, Played well, the Barrow and (this) Widnes game have really tested our character as we've gone behind yet come back to win.

that really p1ssed me off, why did he call back Usain? double standards. Also, the tj's missed some blatant forward passes, for both sides & god knows how they came up with knock ons etc from ball steals that go backwards????

It was the best try of the night, couldn't tell if it was forward from behind the sticks. As for unlucky bounces royston just failed to gather the ball over your line from a kick so that swings and roundabout.

You missed a quality game, the bbc will stuggle to match that this weekend.

the restarts were a farce, especially the quickie he allowed them take whilst his back was to play towards the end.
despite that he wasn't the worst we've had and kept reasonable order in a game that was very evenly contested
Thought Thackeray was the only real threat in open play and was always willing to take on the line whereas Webster's only real contribution was his kicking game which tonoight wasn't very impressive
