Batley 20 Thunder 20. Not a bad game to watch, mistakes a plenty & Simpson actually ran his weight (probably since that game over at Fev yrs ago) & scored a couple of good tries. Missed kicks cost Batley the win. Overall, we shouldnt have any worries when we play Batley in a couple of weeks, our pack looks to be the strongest by far in the league & we have pace to burn. ps... even for Batley it looked a very poor crowd. |

Game was slow IMO.. Niether team gave or showed anything to worry about. |

I notice a touch of arrogance emerging from some Halifax fans. Both teams gave their all tonight, there were several "lively" players and IMO would have ruffled a feather or 2 amongst the leagues so called elite. And Simpson looks 10 times fitter than when he played for us .... he's now lasting more than 2 runs! |

If it was a fast flowing, highly skilled game with rugby that I thought yeah they will go far I would have said so. But.. It wasn't.. It was slow, full of errors and penalties and niether team looked like a top 4-5 team which I would expect us to beat. It was still fairly entertaining with the Batley wingers and a couple other notable others and had a great tense finish but I wouldn't go saying it looked a great game etc.. |
