I noticed a Mark Roberts played for Wire around 20 odd years ago. Its not Halifaxs Mark Roberts dad by any chance?

He came on as a sub in the 90/91 Regal trophy final at Headingley and scored the winning try versus Bradford Northern. I remember it well, my old fella reffed it and I think Kevin Ellis got M.O.M. in a very dour encounter in front of around 11K speccies.

This "other" Mark Roberts is no relation to the current player.

But...does anyone remember him playing for Fax in the 1990/91 promotion season on loan from Wire?

There was a Lee Roberts who made 1 substitute appearence in season1990/1991

but he was the main man for the Alliance side when we used to get over 1000+ fans on wet & windy Friday nights
