I am not surprised after our trip over there last year as there were a few, only a few I must add, nuggets near us when we moved to the scoreboard end after half time. They were more footy type fans tbh but not the nicest of people to be stood near and when we scored all those tries they were getting a bit agitated to say the least, lucky it did not kick off as they went on and won but it was not very pleasant.

That link is dead, this works I think - http://www.sportinglife.com/rugbyleague ... lford.html

Sounds like Salford aren't happy about some of their fans Heckling Mr Pringle as he made his way to the post match press conference, which is when a small number of salford fans were escorted from the ground by Castleford Stewards. Source = http://nakedleague.com/2009/03/fans-sho ... ays-mcrae/

I'm not condoning the actions of these fans, But I remember things getting pretty vocal in the south stand lounge towards the board in the run up to Faz's departure. So if it was just vocals, perhaps an overreaction from the salford club.

Scratch that, I think there was a flare throwing incident, saw something on telly about it. Apologies!

I can understand people wanting to air their views to the coach. I'm sure they get used to fans telling them their opinions. But when idiots are loose with smoke granades or flares, then that's serious stuff.

Who in their right mind even owns a flare or granade except sombody who owns a yacht? Who, of those who do own them, would take them to a match?

They should be banned for life for that IMO.

Salford have always had a minority of fans intent on trying to cause trouble with away fans. Not surprising in a footballing city.

Mr. Pringle will be feeling the pressure after another tonking last night.

Can't understand why they are only banned from away grounds. Surely, you wouldn't want people like that in your home ground, either?

I suppose you could sail it down the Manchester Ship Canal.
