Seems a shame that Donny can win 3 and be out yet Widnes only win 2 and scrape through

well by the sounds of things on the widnes forum there not happy with the amount of power they have sure we all know they have good attacking players but so do we.

the forwards we have i think we have a good chance of top this season its just whether we can match a full time side.

Fair play to 'em, but we've had more than an odd year of crap ourselves as well, we need to start dominating this division and winning cups to build on the fanbase we have. I know the club met with the local amateur clubs on tuesday but I was working so couldn't make it, but I've been hearing an odd thing hear and there, hopefully the links can get stronger and everyone in the district bears the fruits of the relationship.
I'm sure they'll all be wanting to use the Shay stadium's new facilities in the future

I went along to the meeting as part of the King Cross Park contingent and must say was well impressed with Halifax's enthusiam and their plans for the future of bringing through local talent and finding ways for Halifax and the amateur clubs help each other. After listening to Graham Clay and Mike Riley I was well impressed on their views on how we can work together to help each other get good local talent to play for Halifax and stop them being prised away to neighbouring Super Dooper league clubs, because if we want to win a licence in the future this is what we need to do. I have learnt things are happening at this club and they are working hard for success and I for one will do all I can to help towards the progress. The clubs are going to meet again and i will definitely be attending as I want to help bring success back to Halifax and this is the way forward.
