Still a strange time to do this. Throws the start of the season into chaos. They must have someone lined up?

Better to get rid now than leave it late on, Neil Kelly was at the ground on Friday night and we could be sounding him out. Other than that Ellery Hanley has also been mentioned.

Nice guy is Steve but we need to be dominating with the side that we have.

I can see Ellery taking over there now, which would be a wise decision I think, he did well at Doncaster and with a good full time squad he could do very well. Which would be good as it would make the competition at the top much more tighter than it would have been with McCormack.

Also, there is a correlation that he has been sacked less than 24 hours after Ellery was knocked out of Dancing on Ice. We'll see . . .

  I wouldnt get that carried away. Your team on paper isnt really that good that it will be walking the league.

Keep your hands off the best coach in the division and us Halifax fans will be happy. :D

Shame being a nice guy doesnt win you games, otherwise i'd be putting a ton on Celtic to win the SL.

Steve McCormack has never really impressed me as a coach, He's always had good resources to play with and made plenty of finals, but has he actually won 1?

Wonder where he'll end up, Like Steve McCurrie said to me, he'll have burned a few bridges after turning his back on Barrow at the last minute to turn around and go to Hull KR as an assistant only to leave a few weeks later to go back to Widnes

Seems a strange time to sack someone. You either do it before the season starts so the new coach can bring his own players in or give him time to turn it around?

Saying that am not really fussed..
