There's never a perfect solution with players who aren't yours.
At this stage of recruitment most if not all of the permanent signings are done and dusted not just at Fax, er sorry Panthers but at other clubs as well.
Halifax have a couple of slots still open and are still looking to fill them, preferably with one of their own but if not with someone like Sam who's got a good pedigree and is keen to play.
It's either that or you have empty shirts.
Even if he is available for the full season he still has to perform better than our own second rowers like Matt Garside, Kev Laroyer, Ed Barber, Paul Brierley etc otherwise he won't be playing anyway.
