No plan b and no creativity at all. It's obvious to anyone watching there is something wrong behind the scenes. The squad we have should be capable of so much more than this. Is it time for SG to go? Until yesterday I had been half heartedly backing him but not any more. It seems he has taken us as far as he can. Also to all those who support our use of dual reg think about this, we have the most prolific winger in the league and I don't think he got a decent pass from his SL centre all game. Add to that three tries came down Manua's flank and at one stage he couldn't even be bothered to chase a kick through sums his contribution up. Useless and uninterested. Another couple of hundred pounds spent having a good weekend away watching the lads spoilt only by the match.
I don't think that Fonua was anywhere near as bad as some people have made out but its a worry that we have the best winger in the league and York should have had to come up with a plan to nulify that threat but instead we did that for them by playing a player at centre who doesn't really have a history of been a try creater. We have a winger on the bench who came on at second row and although he was his usual busy self he really offers little punch and is dominated when defending in the middle, I like McComb but what does his selection and choice of position in the game say to the forwards that missed out yesterday? We send Maizen on DR to Hunslet and bring in a player who we can only assume was dropped from Cas for similar reasons that Maizen was dropped. Again it sends the wrong message. Having Moore as 18th man makes no sense as we saw yesterday, he really only can come in if we lose a hooker. It just seems Grix is at a loss as to what to do at this point.
