Also a little hard for Walmsley to look good when he has a winger playing inside him. I think he will look a lot better once Worthington is back fit. Playing outside a quality centre can make a huge difference to a wingers game.

Bitchy tone to the statement put out. I don't blame the lad one little bit, he knew what was in front of him when he signed and then we go out and sign an average championship player and put him in in front of him. Sends the wrong message out and did Halifax really think the lad was just going to train every week and not be bothered about not playing.

Hasn’t taken long for the turncoats to show their colours. End of last season game ‘haven at home people could not wait to get Walmsey in the blue and white of Halifax. Now it seems he is not worthy, you all say it takes some longer than others to settle, never mind the pre season, one game into it and you want to consign him to the bin. Fickle ? Some of you really seem to be.

Fickleness would seem to imply a frequent changing of the mind at the slightest little thing and is used in a derogatory manner in this instance. Personally I haven’t changed my mind as I never saw walmsley play last season I can only comment on what I have seen both live and on the tv replay , walmsley I have no doubt improve as I have already stated . The term ‘ turncoat ‘ comes under the category of derogatory passive aggressive behaviour which often stains our online community usually because there is no accountability, I prefer to stick to facts rather than creating unnecessary drama .

@Listenup 94, turncoat (n.) 1550s, from turn (v.) + coat (n.). The expression to turn one's coat "change principles or party" is recorded from 1570s. You seem quick to jump on the defensive for someone who states positivity for the guy. I also take note you call the term passive aggressive, and derogatory, I fail to see where I have been the latter, I am only commenting on posters previous comments close season to now. If you think that is derogatory that is your view and could say that a lot of remarks made on this forum fall into the same category. I do however stand by my post, and thank you for your rebuttle.

The use of the word turn coat is inappropriate and I’m fully aware of its meaning, voicing opinions on players or games in general doesn’t imply disloyalty but objective opinion.

So what do you call the individuals who lauded his signing and are now caring doubt on his suitability for the job ? I fail to see where their comments were /are objective but contradictory . Thank you for your viewpoint even though it disagrees with mine.

As far as I’m aware I’m the only one to have an opinion on walmsley specifically, I think one of the other members hasn’t picked him in his side but hasn’t stated why ( nor does he have to ) and I can only speak for myself , as fans we are allowed to have opinions either pro or against as long as it doesn’t resort to slander . As regards as his initial signing I reported it in a positive light based on the positive opinions of external sources , then saying he has to calm down and put on half a stone is constructive criticism as opposed to being fickle or a turncoat.
Disappointed by this but it is Simon call he does not think he is ready to play yet and needs more time to develop that is why he must of brought joe in. I would of preferred alex walker to have been giving a chance but it is Simon call.
