That's exactly what you made this Paul, RU versus RL. Some people within the KXP club had this happen to them at their previous abode at Vandals remember, so your bad is their double bad. BTW, Savile park doesn't fit RFL matchday standards to play the game there otherwise I'm sure the Halifax club might have considered it. And, Just for anyone's interest, the supporters trust did a reccy mission earlier in the season I know for a fact they looked at both Siddal & Greetland's facilities to use for this purpose. The real issue here stands with the local council not allowing the Shay to be made available. A little bit more fact always helps.
FAILURE ISN'T ABOUT FALLING DOWN, FAILURE IS STAYING DOWN..........

whilst i personally dont like rugby union, i respect their game and certainly have a respect for how their governing body look after their own and support thier clubs far far more than rugby leagues governing body.
the point being, this rugby union club, brought a vote at a monthly managemnt meeting and pushed through the removal of KXP from the club "with immediate effect" citing the fact that their governng body would not give them grant money to carry out maintaiance at the club (some of which may i add we did free of charge for years as a gesture of good will)
the night after at a rugby union club dinner when the fall out of the previous nights decision starting hitting home with the rugby union members.......................senior rugby union members (committe members not dinosaurs propping up the bar) told other members that "KXP had left the club" and "we dont need rugby league here" and "we are a rugby union club, always have been always will be and dont need rugby league".................i personally received phone calls and text messages from people there asking what the hell was going on and why had we left..................
so, this is not a RU v RL rant..................this is simply an issue that we should not be supporting, and by supporting you are by taking a game to there ground and putting much needed funds over their bar, an anti rugby league club who by their actions have harmed the game of amateur rugby league in the town.............
Build yourself a bridge and get over it, Whatever happened to king cross has got nothing to do with Fax RL, Coming on here and trying to get people not to go due to what happened to you is childish, People are able to come to their own conclusions and make a decision as to go and support their Club or not, I for one chose to go and took the family with me. Well done to the boys who did well against a dirty Haven site, Hope the lad with Suspected Broken Jaw is ok.

faxhali, old crocs throwing kxp out has nothing to do with halifax rlfc ? What about their responsibility to nurturing young talent in the area and promoting the sport, to say fax have an amazing community programme( which i am sure they do ) i think this a very poor approach to the situation.

For circumstances beyond the Club's control we could not play at the Shay this weekend and didnt know until it Thursday evening. . The reasons are explained elsewhere on this forum
To move our game to another pitch required two things; availability and a pitch which satisfied the RFL ground assessments. There was NO amateur RL club which was available AND which satisfied the RFL criteria. .this is a SATURDAY we are talking about after all
The only ground which WAS available AND satisfied the RFL criteria was the Old Crossleyans RU.
Believe you me, I wanted the Under 23's first home game to be at the Shay. . . anywhere else was not our choice, but having said that, the facilities offered by the Old Crossleyans and the welcome we were given was first class.
It's disappointing that every decision we make is second guessed often on this forum by supporters who more often than not do not have the facts to make the statements they do! Thats it I'm gone. . . .

I Dont mean to be rude here Mike but after last years Challenge cup exit and northern rail cup exit due to not knowing we need a draw and playing Ostick i think you should keep coming on here, not to explain yourselves no, but to see what the fans are feeling and thinking. Emotions run high yes but that said in between the rubbish there is lots of sense on here. Communication is key to keeping the fans happy.

I think it may be a safe bet to say that someone at the club reads this message board every day.

Nurturing young talent yes, Bringing the youth on yes, Fighting battles for every rugby club in calderdale, NO
What happened to KXP is unfortunate but it is for KXP to resolve, Not to protest about any RL club who has anything to do with the crocs.
