Why are people so bent on signing Widdop?, he has stated he is done playing, although in the past it seems fax signed players who looked like they were not interested either. If he did come it would be a big pay packet, and has already been said, could probably sign 2 south sea island tackle breakers for the same cost.
My Humble Opinion Only - let the knockers begin.

May be a case of too much board interferance? Finances already tight and asking people to give the club cash to make the signing happen and he looked done playing for Cas. Does he really put anymore bums on seats? I totally agree that I would like to see any money that is available for Widdop to be spent on 2 or 3 really good forwards. We only currently have one centre and we are willing to push one of our best players in JWH, Keyes, Jouffret in to the stands to bring in a player and I really hope the penny pinching on the squad is not to make sure this signing happens otherwise I feel like the board are about to make a huge mistake.

Was quite bizzare really.
Just another SG masterclass to add to the list.
Hear All, See All, Say Nowt. Eat All, Sup All, Pay Nowt. And if Tha ever does Owt for Nowt, Allus do it for Thissen.
Pickersgill was a solid fullback but did not offer much in attack compared to JWH. Both Salty and Jouffret offer cover at the back. I guess that the offer of a three year contract and more regular game time was what tempted him to Cougars.

Them and Donny. Donny's ST prices so low with perks I half considered one myself.
100 quid or 150 with restaurant access, am I reading that right? Apparently they've had "Record breaking ticket sales" - I bet!
Under IMG clubs like Donny are a bit screwed as they don't own the stadium and they only fill a small percentage of the seats. So they are going to stretch themselves financially to try and get more fans. Will all end in tears again. Salford in special measures, rumours of a few other clubs struggling to compete in League 1 this year. IMG a brave new world.......

Has anyone heard anymore reasons to be cheerful on signings?
also isn't the kit unveiled a week on Friday? I hope it's a nice simplified maybe Aussie style one like Penrith as I always think the look the mutts nuts. I was not a fan of that gold band last season which just looked insipid - nice bold colours this time please!
We shall one day be back where we belong and along shall come the Bulls defectors.
