Don't know how we can blame the club for Matthew Shaw's tweet yesterday setting the wrong expectations. Although they could've easily pushed the Connor Davies announcement to another day.
Although 10am is an unusual time for an announcement, maybe there is something else to come?

As for Connor Davies you have to feel for the lad, signing back for his youth team and somehow he gets caught up in this.
Worth remembering that different positions develop at different times in their career, loose forward is a later developing role. Finn obviously liked what he saw, maybe he is a long-term replacement for Fairbank.

Fair points and this will be forgotton at 1pm today...
Without being rude to today's signings there is no way either of thrse signings would have prompted yesterday's comment from Matthew Shaw - he's normally one of the more reliable journalists so may well be some more news to come today.
