Wins a win but we look low on confidence but still managed to win comfortably. Maher finally dropped and the pack played well, Doro this years fall guy by the looks of it but hoping its injury rather than tactical. We need to start hitting some form soon though.

Bit of a flat game from both players and fans alike . Obviously the focus was on completion and discipline which was better , balancing the expansive play with set completion and game management is the key . Positives were inman who laid a couple of tries on a plate for our forwards, walmsey who has improved on last season and his combo with maizen will provide a hatful of tries between them this season, although I think the Keyes kav combo is off and this means maizen rarely gets through a gap . Lannon looks difficult to handle and on that note would like him in the second row and kav rested with doro brought in on the bench . I’d like to see inman more involved in the last play kicking game as Keyes seems a little one dimensional in that regard. Overall we played well without breaking any pots , a big cup game awaits …
Really flat game, after a decent start when Keyes looked a bit more like his old self, seemed to completely run out of ideas. Against a decent York pack our forwards especially Murray and Lannon stood up well, seems to be no confidence in the backs - if we could put players like Maizen into gaps rather than just asking them to run through brick walls we might fo better. Without their regular halves or fullback York never really posed a threat until Tibbs injury left a huge gap down his wing. Very disappointing crowd especially in view of the good number of York fans. I stupidly ended up sitting in the middle of a large number of these - they were very loud, a bit annoying but they were good natured and even though their team did bugger all encouraged and cheered them on until the end. Considering some of the idiots I've sat near in the past they were a credit to their team.
A steady workmanlike win. We managed improve our discipline which meant York had less attacking field position and looked like they would not score until Valentines Day. Our defence was strong until very late on when a couple of tackles were missed. Made two good tries for Walmsley and held up a few times or the score might have been somewhat different. All our props played well and Fairbank wanted to make up for lost time and imposed himself on the game. Lannon looks strong and fits our style with decent hands. A good recruit. The halves went a bit better without reaching the heights of last season. Perhaps the other teams have done more homework on them during the close season. Pickersgill looks safe but he aint` no Woody. To infinity and beyond the Bulls.
For me that was a poor game. York have got the excuse that they had lots of players missing but had a go for the full 80. I agreed with Lannon getting the man of the match he is awkward to put down and Jake and Lachlan were the other 2 positives for me as well as woodburn-hall getting plenty of ball. We do look short of confidence with the ball and why we try to go side to side before earning the right to doesn't help either because the space is just not there. For me we look way off where we were last season especially with the ball and this needs to change soon. This weeks game is a big one and we can not just think that Bradford not having any dr players in there side will get us the win. We really need to up our game.
