You can never please some people; people wanted more insight and engagement, they got it, now they don't like the message. I thought Lee's address was measured and shared some insight; he even went as far as to say why certain other things can't be shared. People have got to realise that it is a business and not everything can be disclosed.
We are all disappointed that, when this board took over, they promised big things and in reality, the team has gone backwards; the whole partnership has fallen apart pretty quickly. I guess we just need to give the directors who are sticking by the club all the support we can and hope they can find the future partners they so desperately need quickly.
I guess we need to remember that it's their money that is keeping our team on the pitch.

I disagree with a lot of what's written on this forum but can acept that other posters are not necessarily wrong but just have a different point of view.. Yes I think most would agree that we've not had value for money from this years recruitment- putting it in the hands of the person responsible for picking the team seems reasonably sensible. The rest of your post is such a twisting of the comments in the update as to not even be worth commenting on.

He is part of a group that have previously tried to take over the club so its safe to say he is quite bitter. One thing I never forget about the group is that one of them agreed to be a major sponsor before the start of one season and it got announced by the club only for the takeover to then fall through and he pull his sponsor ship just a couple of weeks before the season helping to leave the club in a bit of a mess.

On another note I don't get the moaning about people having a moan though. If Fax put out a signing video then people would offer opinions on the signing and some will be positive and some will be negative. Fax put out an info video which is fantastic to help keep people in the loop but you can't expect people not to comment on it and some of it is always going to be negative. I know my comments were negative and always have been towards this board because I always got the impression they wanted to take over the club as a status symbol rather than actually believing how hard the job in hand was going to be. I'm not happy to be proved right and I hope we can get some more serious parties involved after this cry for help.

My grandson would be overjoyed with that! Lol!

Is it just me or shouldn't it be the case that the coach of a team should always be the person in charge of recruitment?

Maybe if Hudd-Shay donated his daily beer spending to the club, Fax's financial worries would be over!

I thought the update was informative, even though I think Lee Kenny needs to get some specs that fit him cos he kept prodding them up! Certainly need to get things moving with the Shay. Give it to Town and Fax, knock down the unused Skircoat Stand replacing with some kind of community centre / hotel accommodation / room hire / match day bar - let's get some sizeable other income streams. Target season tickets / mini season tickets. They're trying the family ticket of £40 for 2 adults and 2 kids - what if you don't have any kids! Still think it's too expensive anyway. Prefer a 3 match ticket for £45, more preferable to fans who don't want to commit to a full season because of holidays or a ground switch (like the Haven game).

AM I RIGHT? I'M NOT WRONG!

Should always have the final say on whether a player is required at the club, while a DOF deals with the contract, accomodation etc etc..Think Finn inherited players, including Widdop, who he may not of wanted...at least the buck stops with him now and there's no excuses...

Hudd-Shay is very adept at drinking a lot but spending very little...I like Lee Kenny but admitting he knows little about rugby including how many points a victory gets..has to be a slight concern..

We wouldn't be from Yorkshire if we didn't have a moan about something, especially moaning about the moaning

Everybody knows that unless you have a millionaire backer you are always going to be struggling along, Lee Kenny whilst admitting he knew little about running a rugby league club mentioned it.

Fax aren’t the only club past and present to be in this situation with several clubs seeing a number of changes of ownership and BoD simply because having a few £10 grand or even a few £100 grand doesn’t last long and when it’s gone it’s gone even some millionaires have seen little to show for the amount they’ve ploughed in.

Anything could happen, we may just keep limping along or pass the baton to another group with similar lack of financial clout, we may go bust or we may get one or several millionaire backers who know just how to run a rugby league club.

What do you think, for me it’s very unlikely it will be the last option, is there anybody out there that even meets that criteria?

Who are these sponsors that have gone bust? Isn't the shortfall more to do with promises made by certain people who have one by one decided that it were no longer for them for whatever reason? It does sound like desparate times the way they are now asking for people to join the board and I just hope the people who took over do the right thing and give up their shares to any good people that they do get coming forward to be involved.

Looking on companies house it’s Colfax windows that sponsor our away shirt that are in liquidation.
