It’s Connor who we’re linked with and he played at 9 and 7 and less so in the back row at the Rams but it’s a head scratcher even in a utility role who’s likely to spend more time off the field than on it when we’ve just released two others who didn’t get much game time.

My bad i got the wrong brother, either way i agree with the above it is not a effort issue he is just not big or good enough.

Neither were good enough the first time they played for us, is there anything to suggest that either have improved to the point they could even be considered good mid table championship players let alone anything above that? I would be a little worried if that is the quality of player that we are chasing.

Not wanting to be negative but that would be a really underwhelming signing, particularly as it would presumably mean that we have no intention of signing O'brien.

I've heard AoB deal is very much still on.

As for Connor, I've only ever seen him in the back row. If the Rams played him at 9 that suprises me.

Apparently for one reason or another AOB does need to stay local so there really is only 4 clubs which are Fax, Fev, Bradford, and Batley. I would say Batley is the least likely and Fev are sorted in that position. Bradford will have the money for him without a doubt looking at how they spend and there is rumors that Patton will leave which would free up quite a bit of cash for them. For me he is a must have signing but I reckon it would be either or him and Moore and with Moore having a year left he would be reluctant to leave as no team in this division would match his wages.

Linking AOB with Bradford reminds me of one of my favourite selection howlers of all time. 2016, Fev v Bradford, one of the pivotal Championship games of the last 10 years, winner makes the lucrative Middle 8 playoffs, loser goes into the Championship Shield.

Rohan Smith drops Adam O'Brien and goes with Danny Addy at 9 and Stuart Howarth off the bench. One of the most inexplicable selections I can remember. Fev won 20-0 and Bradford went into administration about 3 months later.

If I remember correctly, Connor Davies' last game for Fax was a couple of years ago in the play off match against Whitehaven at the Shay when he came on as sub. He was trampled by the Haven forwards, totally out of his depth.

If we are chasing Davies it must be that we are broke. Awful choice
