Great result. Well done Fax lads. Let’s have a decent home draw go on a money spring run, as it is a bonus very few saw coming. Players must be cock a hoop, and who can blame then. Looking forward to seeing the game on YouTube later this week. Go on the Fax
My Humble Opinion Only - let the knockers begin.

Very good performance but boy do we make it tough for ourselves. Missed conversions, the Moore non try and then the last 5 minutes where we really looked to throw it away. Overall though we were the better team and the forwards really did lay down a platform the backs could play off. Keep this up and it will be a good season. #UTP

Having watched the game back probably worth mentioning JWH defensive capabilities, I know we all love watching him play rugby with ball in hand but he makes at least 3 try saving tackles in that game and he really has turned in to one of the best fullbacks at this level and is finally fulfilling the potential he has always had.
Again watching it back I think we are a touch unlucky on Fev's first 2 tries, their first one is offside and then the second one comes due to Maizen been down in back play but fair play to Fev they spot this and purposfully attack where he should be defending leading to the try. Also thought McComb who has come in for a bit of stick had a really good game as well, he's hard not to like as a player hes just a bit unlucky that he has 2 of the best wingers in the league in front of him in his main position.
At the final hooter it showed what it meant to Fairbank and how much it had taken out of the players which makes it a big ask to back up against Keighley next week after a physically and emotionally draining game so fingers crossed we can do.

Well not only did we take them to the final hooter we only went and won. A big pat on the back to Simon and the boys for producing that effort. And like others have said we made that a bit harder then it should of been but i would of bit your hand off for that result before kick off. It just goes to show you do not have to play the perfect game to perform well and we looked a lot more like a team this week with and without the ball and hopefully this will give the team the confidence to kick on this year. The only downside to yesterday is i heard Ryan king as asked to be released from is contract and is set to return to Whitehaven if this is true it is disappointing and he will like others before him need replacing.

Very disappointed if its true about King but not really surprising as Grix obviously doesn't have any confidence in him. The times I saw him play for Whitehaven he looked just the sort of forward we needed, but as with Springer, if Grix doesn't think a player is meeting his standards he's not afraid to get rid even if they are popular with the crowd. While I've never doubted Grix's ability as a coach, this is the second successive season where after just a few games, or 1 in Kings case we decide a new signing isn't up to it. More importantly in the short term it leaves us very thin on numbers in the pack.
