On the play the ball issue this again isn’t straight forward as I believe it is open to interpretation, winning the ruck and trying to dominate the ruck through quick play the balls is a grey area , the offensive side perhaps trying to play the ball while the tackle is nt complete , the defending side lying on and not clearing quickly can result in interference around the ruck and subsequent incorrect play the ball , regardless given that tangata is a repeat offender in this regard would mean intensive coaching to at least iron out these issues.

I think poor is probably a bit harsh from fans in general,I was at the game too against Batley, he just lacks a little bit of physicality but then again makes up for it with other attributes as the high kick to the corner, pace , finishing etc thing is if he was more physical he would be playing super league so it’s one of them.
I think Woody will be pleased that Grix has found someone else to be the scape goat as it used to be him. Grix seems to be very much a stats man and they never tell the full picture as we saw with Springer. The ironic thing is that once again we are crying out for a forward who can make a half break, "Luxury" type players do not seem to be Grix's thing despite him signing them.

I think you make a good point you could go through every game and there will be a number of incorrect play the balls that don't get pulled up. The problem adam could have referees will probably know who are regular offenders in this area of the game and watch them more closely.
Well I’m certainly one who would love to see a block busting forward. Couple of questions though. Can anyone suggest who this might be and provide a name? Can anyone suggest why if that player exists he would want to come to Fax when if he was that good there would likely be several SL clubs and top Championship clubs also wanting to sign him? On scapegoats, the biggest consistency in that regard is that it’s whoever happens to be the Fax coach at the time, it was the same with MC, KH, RM and now SG and whoever follows.
On walmsey I’ve given it some thought, someone , I can’t remember if it was on here or Facebook made a valid point , we haven’t signed walmsey to make yards like salty , different types of player ,in some respects his physicality is irrelevant plus we have other backs like arundal , McComb, worthington when fit who can fulfil this roll . It is possible we’re overthinking things and walmsey was rested to give tibbs an opportunity against weaker opposition, both rawsthorne and the ginger fox were rotated last season.
Regards the forward situation I believe the only option at this time in the season is the duel reg , out of ashworth and mason I preferred ashworth, mason seems a big lad but doesn’t run with much intent and ashworth has got an offload . Tyler Dupree fits the bill but obviously not an option at the moment.
I’d be interested to know if we ever look further afield like Whitehaven do or like when we signed tangata and cahalane.

My view on Lachlan is that when in a couple of years we are watching him tear it up in SL we'll all be saying why didn't Grix pick him more often? Get the lad in the team and let him do the job for us while we've got him. Up The Fax!
Hear All, See All, Say Nowt. Eat All, Sup All, Pay Nowt. And if Tha ever does Owt for Nowt, Allus do it for Thissen.

I would take ashworth in the team each week he did well for giants on sunday though. Watched the leigh game back also and Ashworth stood out and played well thought mason was lazy in defence

Yes it’s very difficult to assess who’s doing what live as emotions are involved but he looked promising, also seen a few games of him playing for saints and he looks decent, big strong and with an offload ( still should have passed when we had a three on two on the 20 minute mark )even if we can’t have him now it’s worth keeping an eye on these players for the future some of the fax forwards are reaching there mid 30s and will need replacing at some point .
