Referees seem to receive a lot of stick from fans so I thought it right to applaud this nice gesture on the part of yesterdays referee. He need not have done it - I don't recall the linesmen clapping Mick Govin off or most of the opposing players either and they are all human too. You are right to mention, though, that referees are human as fans sometimes seem to overlook this fact when decisions go against their team.

The TJ's didnt get anything right yesterday, so no great suprise they failed to applaud an injured player off.

I thought the ref did okay but the touchjudges were pants. I think the second Thunder try was taken from Dan Marino's playbook! Certainly a while since I've seen a pass that far forward missed.
