It only happened because our playoff chances are now pretty much over as a result
Very immature statement, are you saying he incited a riot ?
And WRONG, "It only happened because our playoff chances are now pretty much over as a result", It only happened 'cos people don't know how to behave themselves.
So now that the play-off hopes are all but over, we can expect this sort of behaviour until the season's over, is that what you're saying ?
If any of these buffons think they can use the Halifax rugby league club as a vehicle for their unruly antics, point them out and Me, Yob & TS will have a word with them before they get their cowardish confidence up.

Football games are far nastier events than Rugby ones, everybody knows that.
I am not condoning what happened in any way, but the ref pretty much spolied everyones good friday.
There is absolutely no chance the town hooligans will start following fax, the friendly atmosphere wouldn't suit them.

Fax's new front row for the game against Haven? If you play well Widnes might be sniffing round!

As for the Football, 4 Red Cards in their game, 2 to each side, plus a load of bookings. Sounds like a Sunday League Pub Match
Sounds like The Alkar Old Boys game in the North West Counties league Division 1 game Me and Eddie went to up in Barrow befor our game with the Raiders . As for The throwing of objects Brew thretened that we should go stand with them next game and sort them out.

Thing is when I say sort them out, I mean with Heavy Blunt Objects
As for what alledgedly happpened at the Football, What a farce, They deserve to be at the level they are at.
The story on the courier website has comments attatched to it at the bottom of the article and someone has posted a link to a chat site, it appears that things could have been pre-arranged. Some fans' messageboard also appears to have been shutdown in the aftermath.

Was at the Town match and was pretty disgusted with some of the Town 'fans' behaviour. They were in the bar all match, threw cans onto pitch and went onto pitch at half time and then tried to get to the Ossett player who was sent off.He was the second Ossett player sent off and Town had already had 2 sent off so why that particular bloke was the target I don't know. Some friends of ours had to move their young grandson out of the way pretty quick and the stewards were quickly on th e scene.A lady kindly took our friends grandson into the directors room out of the way and we left as soon as the final whistle went.Again a minority will spoil things for the rest of us as there are bound to be repurcussions
sorry but int this a rugby leauge forum, if i wanted to read about those idiots i would be on there boards, i think we should just keep this to rugby, and let them get on with what they are doing, no doubt it will be us who r to blame, lets all just look forward to ower game monday and hopefully come home with 3 points

Should be ashamed of yourself as no way does the actions of a Referee no matter how bad excuse the way people physically attack anybody! If you think thats OK then you really are one sad moron. When young children are frightened and "Mentally" scarred by Drunken thugs then the people who act like animals as well as those who think its funny or OK should be names, Shamed and banned from all Sports Grounds for ever as well as spending some time inside. There is no excuse for a referee and Players to be treated in such a respectless way by anybody. I hope the Football fans and Club find these people and name and shame them in the courier and pass as much info on to the Police.
I am not a fan of halifax Town but feel sorry for the genuine fans and the club itself who have had enough problems as it is.
