Call in at The Shakespeare, a five minute walk straight up from the railway station on your right. A lovely pint of beer and some discerning, friendly conversation to be had here with the locals in this quaint hostelry.

Just watch out for the low flying chair/pool cue/drunk (delete as appropriate) as you enter.
seriously though it's always an interesting experience t visit the "Shake" but not one I'd recommend to a first time visitor (unless they were from Bradford)
