Someone beat to it for once, your standards are slipping

Unfortunately the stadium management (Council) have two clubs to satisfy (the rent payers) before allowing local amateur teams use of the Shay.

As a proud Halifax resident I would love to see Siddal take on Swinton at the Shay, but as a FC Halifax Town supporter I dont want to see the pitch used more than is needed and I am sure that would be the opinion of the football club - not that we are playing any football on the floor at the moment.

I take it you are making reference to Silsden? They are not in our league although we did play there against them in the FA Cup earlier this season. It was an absolute shocker of a pitch. Suited better to a herd of cows.

Yeh, Mike Riley was telling us about it a while back, said Halifax couldn't beat them on a decent pitch at The Shay, then went to Keighley and beat them on that pitch,
