Surely no one thinks we'll draw a big name coach?
I never suggested we should be getting a big name coach. Tony Smith was tongue in cheek. Coaches and players go hand in hand. You get a big name coach PLUS big name players which we obviously cannot afford. Or the other. That's why I suggested John Kear because he's as close to a tried and tested coach I "think" we could afford as we can get, who'll keep us from relegation over the next 2 years. I just get the feeling someone like Muzza will lose that cheeky grin when the going gets tough and Barrow are beating us at home.
Noticed yesterday that Mick Gledhill had tweeted that Keith Senior was going to be our next coach.
The tweet in full which included Alan Killshaw leaving Swinton was posted on Panthers Fans Facebook and is still there but if you check The Game Callers tweets it's nowhere to be seen so obviously been deleted.

Not like The Game Caller to outright lie, get some attention, then delete it, backtrack and pretend it never happened.

It has to be the cheapest option so I really don't know what we can expect here but we really need someone who can steady the ship and can save us from relegation next season as it will be difficult again with 2/3 going down again(presuming same format to reduce league to 12) and knowing Oldham won't be anywhere near the bottom 2.
Promotion/relegation will be determined differently next year using a 'Super 8s' style competition (details to be confirmed).
