) be interesting to see how our middles compete with bradfords pack on Boxing Day who are usually old school big / fat forwards , I remember Grix saying post Featherstone game ( away game in the league ) his tactic was to move the ball quick to tire out the forwards, I suspect the signings of Keyes , Aston , jouffret, wood along with fit stamina based forwards is all to generate quick play the balls and 2nd phase play , we will see .
On Walker and there being plenty of cover at fullback adds this thought.
Has Walker during his trial period shown anything significantly better than what we have?
If he has then signing him can only improve the team.
If not, bearing in mind he’s a quality player at this level, then our current squad options must be showing enough to keep him out for the club not to sign him.
It’s a positive conclusion either way.
The point on pack size (Bulls) vs pack mobility (Fax), it will interesting to see how our lads front up at Odsal if they still have the narrow heavy pitch where space and speed will likely take second place to grunt and grind.
