On the flip side Dewsbury were awful and no disrespect to them but if we want the top 5 then we should be beating Dewsbury. Lets see how we back up next week and see if we have hopefully turned the corner. As has been said Barber has to be played at centre, I don't think he is good enough in the back row but at centre he is excellent pretty much every time he plays there. JWH was good and he should be the fullback but will obviously be shifted once Grix is fit. Thought Tangata and Moore looked good as well.

Even when Grix is fit he should not walk back into the full back spot. JWH is playing very well and not put a foot wrong, therefore should retain his starting place. He is a young player thriving on playing in a position he enjoys playing in. He should keep the spot. Gix is in his last season and loyalties aside cannot expect to automatically be given a starting place. For me JWH is the full back we need going forward. let him play, develop and we will have one of the best fullbacks in the Championship or we could lose him to another club.

Totally agree, solid in defense and under the highball, comes into the line well in attack and if Woody could get a good run of games there he would improve game on game, Scott still has a lot to offer and could well have a run out at 6 to put some pressure on the halves, especially 6 who because of the shortage of numbers seem to be able to pick themselves.
Liam has shown some good touches in attack but he needs to learn how to bend his back and defend instead of the finger grab efforts.
With both those mentioned, JWH and Liam SG has something good to work with, over to you SG to show what you can do.

What a win that was for you guys. And we barely limped past bottom of the table Swinton. This is going to be a very odd season I reckon.

So the key to a good Halifax performance is me refusing to waste my money watching another apathetic display lol. More seriously though, a win at Sheffield and we're back in the top 6. It definitely is going to be a very odd season.

I agree ref the fullback spot. Changes have to be made to a side that wins only on merit . If woodburn Hall plays well simple he retains the position . That's the way you turn a side into having a win culture.
If people get their place on a mates basis it's a sure way to end up with a useless team
