As I guess many of you will know, England beat Australia in the RL wheelchair world cup last Sept, with a team that included a couple of local lads, Jack and Harry Brown.
With this in mind Halifax RLFC has helped set up a Halifax Wheelchair rugby team and we launch it this Sunday April 19th at North Bridge 10am to 2pm.
We are hoping that lots of fans might be interested in having a go. . its for ALL abilities, from disabled right through to able bodies, and its great fun, have a look at the pictures on the Club web site as Ben, Rob and Shad tried it out.
This will be the First Wheelchair RL team aligned to a professional club, so if you can, get along to North Bridge on sunday before the game help support the launch and perhaps have a go yourself
Great to see the club backing this. Halifax are reaching out to all areas of the community with other activities off the field, (Such as the cheerleading groups) and this will only strengthen links with the community furthur.
On another note, looking at the photos on the site, why are Rob and Ben baking Biscuits?
thats next week at Eureka, 8pm Weds theres a biscuit baking competition. . sadly though our own odd couple have now split up and ben is looking for his own flat!
