Making five changes was always going to affect any side regardless of who comes in or drops out.
Whoever was doing the booing in the South stand needs to take a look at themselves, Haley, Bowman X 2, Chinny all local lads. What do the boo boys want ? If it had been a 60 or 70 point procession it would have been different, but we were faced with opposition who fancied the job but just didn't have the fitness or class that Halifax produced late in the game, job done, move on and plan for the next game.
Are the boo boys expecting Loughborough Uni to come and just roll over ? I don't think they will, they'll make the most of the experience and they are a sports Uni I think.
Got to agree with this, the game was a poor one for us, Penky had one of his worst games ever and even big Frank satrted off badly when he came on, it was just one of those games as we had nothing to play for.
I was disappointed with our fringe players like Wrenchy, Larder, Charlesworth and the Bowmans as none really showed last night but it was their first game and Blackpool played well (scored one really good try, one soft try, got 2 from our mistakes and one from a linesman not spotting one of our players being held back while trying to get the ball) and to be fair it was their 'Cup Final' as they knew we were off the pace, but we still won and scored 50 points so come on.
