This is how you get rid of the under performers in business. No need to dress it up with HR / management interviews, consultation periods etc just tell them straight. Getting rid of the bottom 10% each year prevents complacency in the business, and drives the company forward in a very competitive world. Good on the top man for doing it himself. That shows demonstrable and visible leadership.

I'm sure there's plenty of lefties that will disagree and tell us jobs are for life ...........mortgages need to be paid blah blah

I love this type of post. The posters are always so confident that they would be in the remaining 90% if they worked there.

If only the bottom 10% of the government met with the same fate. Nah, make that 100%!

I worked for a US tech company that cut 10% each year albeit with a little more empathy. It’s not unusual

If I had anyone as sociopathic as wire-quin on my team I think I'd be pushing them towards the exit pretty quickly.

Who would you class as the bottom 10% of the workplace?

Exactly, its usually the bottom 10% that are working from instructions by the ones slightly higher..These are the ones who should be targeted.

I've seen EVP's.VP's, team leaders, underperforming team managers, sales guys all go. Its not just receptionists and cleaners they get rid of, its the deadwood! Cleans the business up.
