Just who is telling the truth. News reports of 700 lorries stuck in Dover, followed by Johnson and Shaps as 5.0pm telling the country that it was only 140 and yet now, its over 900. Mmmm who should we believe the compulsive liar or the news reporters ? How do we know that Johnson was telling lies, because his lips moved |

I hope you realise how many lorries will head to Dover every hour of the 24 in a day. No wonder the total has increased in 5 hours ,especially when drivers are trying to get home for Christmas. |

Duncan Buchanan, director of policy at the Road Haulage Association, said he was "very disappointed" with how the government presented the levels of freight disruption on Monday evening, saying they were "seeking to minimise the nature of the problem". Prime Minister Boris Johnson told a briefing on Monday that the number of lorries waiting on the M20 had been reduced from 500 to 170, although Highways England later said there were 900 lorries parked on the M20 as of 18:00 GMT. Mr Buchanan said the UK was facing "a very serious problem". "This is a very different level of supply chain disruption, of the like we have probably never experienced," he told MPs on the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy committee. "Many of the retailers are saying... we will be fine until Christmas at least, but we must recover very fast to keep the shops fully stocked after Christmas. It's a big worry." The other thing to bear in mind is that lorries on the M20 are only a small part of the total. Lorries at Manton airfield about 900 pluslorries in lay-bys and the streets of Dover. They are all over the place. . Apparently people in Dover not happy that the French have taken control of their borders by way of a press release. Britain had a referendum, 3 years of talks and still have sweet FA to show for it. |

Lies, damn lies and statistics. This is serious stuff and like a coke addict, admitting the situation needs to be done before we can plot a route out of it. Talk about Merry Christmas |
